Tentacles uses spatio-spectral modulation.

Each modulation layer (“tentacle”) operates on a specific frequency band and stereo position.

You can literally place modulation in space.

• X axis: Stereo pan

• Y axis: Frequency band (80 Hz → 12 kHz, logarithmic scale)

🎛 Interactive X-Y Modulation Pad

The main interface is a visual 2D pad where each tentacle appears as a colored dot.

Drag the dots to control:

• Stereo location

• Frequency range

• Interaction between layers

Visual feedback includes:

• Pulsing dots tied to real DSP LFO movement

• Ghost trails showing drift paths

• Real-time spatial animation

This makes the modulation intuitive and visual.
