SendBlender, by minordrama, is a free plugin that adds a proper wet/dry blend control to parallel and send FX chains, with loudness matching built in so you’re not fooled into thinking “louder” means “better” when you A/B. Drop it at the end of a send return, dial in how much processed signal blends back in, and keep your parallel chain honest without chasing faders.
Features
- Automatic loudness matching in one click, with a latching mode that keeps matching live while you tweak the chain.
- Manual mode with short-term LUFS meters if you’d rather match levels by eye and ear.
- Three crossfade curves (Linear, Power, Max) for correlated signals like compression/saturation up to fully uncorrelated material like long reverbs.
- Flexible sidechain routing that lets you route wet or dry via sidechain, for wider DAW compatibility.
- Set the blend by direct percentage or by wet/dry attenuation.
- Bypass switch routes dry-only to the output for a quick null check.
It’s built for parallel chains you actually want to keep using: limiters, clippers, saturators, or anything else you’d normally avoid because of gain creep.
Compatibility
Free version available (a paid Pro version adds more features). macOS 10.13+, Intel or Apple Silicon, AU & VST3 (64-bit). Windows 10+, VST3 (64-bit). No AAX/Pro Tools support yet — the sidechain routing currently needs stereo, which AAX only exposes as mono.
