Glitch 1.3

Glitch 1.3 - multi fx, overdrve, modullation | Audio Plugins for Free

Glitch (usually called dblue Glitch, after its developer Kieran “dblue” Foster) is a free stutter/glitch effect that’s been a cult favorite in the glitch, IDM and experimental scene for years. It slices incoming audio into a sequence of short steps, then runs each step through a different effect module — or picks one at random — letting you build broken, rhythmic textures live instead of chopping and processing a sample by hand.

Features

  • 9 effect modules: tape stop, bitcrusher, reverser, gater, retrigger, shuffler, stretcher, delay and modulator.
  • Randomize the step sequence, the effects, or both — good for happy accidents.
  • Global controls for overdrive and filtering.
  • Save and load your own chains as standard VST bank (.fxb) files.
  • Works great on drum loops and percussion, but just as fun on vocals, synths or a full mix.

Compatibility

Current version: 1.3.04, distributed by illFormed as part of their “Old VST Plug-ins” pack. Windows only, VST2, 32-bit — on a 64-bit DAW you’ll need a bridge (e.g. jBridge) to load it, which is normal for a plugin this old.

When did Glitch 1.3 come out????? I keep searching all over and coming up empty. I remember using it and loving it somewhere between 1998 and 2008, its all very, very hazy.
