Glitch 2, by Illformed, is a sequencer-driven multi-effect plugin built for creating rhythmic, glitchy, and downright chaotic transformations of any sound. Instead of one effect at a time, it lets you sequence multiple effect modules across a multi-lane pattern grid — with the ability to trigger entirely different scenes from your keyboard — so you can go from a subtle stutter on a drum loop to a fully mangled, randomized mess.

- 128 scenes per program, each triggerable via MIDI notes, with its own sequencer pattern, timing, and effect settings.
- Multi-lane sequencer so several effects can run at once, layered together.
- A set of effect modules — including tape stop, reverser, stretcher, crusher, gater, delay, modulator, shuffler, repeater, and phaser — each tempo-syncable and with its own filter, mix, pan, and volume controls.
- Randomize and Mutate functions at almost every level, for quick chaotic variations or subtle parameter tweaks.
- Drag-and-drop pattern editor: draw, erase, resize, split, and join blocks directly in the sequencer.
Good to know: Glitch 2 used to be a paid plugin; Illformed made it free in memory of its creator, Kieran Foster.
