Dimension Expander

Dimension Expander | Audio Plugins for Free

Dimension Expander, by Xfer Records, is a free stereo-widening effect modeled on the classic Roland/Boss Dimension D chorus unit. Under the hood it’s a four-voice chorus with extended delay times, with two of the voices deliberately out of phase with the other two — the same trick used in Xfer’s own Massive synth, reverse-engineered from a Reaktor module. It’s a one-trick plugin, but it’s a genuinely useful trick for widening vocals, synths, or full mixes.

Features

  • Four-voice chorus with out-of-phase pairing, based on the Dimension D circuit.
  • Single large “Size” knob for controlling the amount of widening.
  • Simple, no-frills interface — load it and dial in the width you want.

Compatibility

Free plugin from Xfer Records, available in VST & AU for Windows & macOS (no VST3 or AAX version currently).
