Caustic 3, by Single Cell Software, is a rack-based music production app modeled after hardware synth/sampler rigs — you build a setup by racking up to 14 machines (synths, samplers, a vocoder, a drum machine) and route them through a built-in mixer and effects rack. It started life as a mobile app, but the desktop version is completely free with no feature limits.

- Load your own WAV files (8/16/24/32-bit, any sample rate), SoundFont (.sf2) files, or FL Studio Mobile instrument files into the samplers.
- Class-compliant USB MIDI controller support via USB OTG on Android.
Compatibility
The desktop version (Windows) is free and full-featured with no restrictions — the Android and iOS versions are paid separately, and no official support is provided for the free desktop build. It’s also reported to run fine under Wine on Linux; if it fails to launch, install the “winetricks vcrun2012” libraries, since Caustic depends on the Visual Studio 2012 runtime.

but i did not download it from this source
the original website singlesourcesoftware shutdown a couple years ago shame as it was a great resource for advice and walkthroughs

Do anyone know if Caustic for android accepts ble midi?
I’ve successfully connected other apps through ble midi (on my Korg Microkey Air), but I’m unable to make Caustic recognize any ble midi input. I’m totally stuck with this :\

BT MIDI ? Dunno, but I think MIDI-Usb with OTG cable would work
